Introduction to the FIFA 16 Serie A Guide

Building a team is the biggest challenge on FIFA 16 Ultimate Team. It doesn’t need to be the best team, because your budget may not allow it, but it is player’s stature that helps him obtain success.

When choosing which players to play with, you will have to look carefully at their attributes. Choosing a team based on ratings is one of the most common mistakes on FUT 16. It’s precisely this aspect that this guide focuses on. For each position, and focusing on the truly important attributes, we’ll show you who are the best athletes to choose.

It’s also important that you check to see if the player you choose fits the formations you like to play in. For example, a good full back will be useless if you only use a formation with three defenders. According to these formations, you must be cautious and look at the work rate. Try to relate them with the ones we advise in our Formations Guide.

Last but not least, it’s mandatory that you tune all of your team so that the individual and team chemistry will be as high possible. For this last step to be easier, the majority of the players start to define the type of team they’re building. Some choose to gather players of the same nationality, while others decide to form a team of players from the same league. There are also more experienced players that can form hybrid teams without damaging team chemistry a lot.

All of these steps are necessary to have; or it could mean that the team is not always well built as it could be. This article aims to help those that want to form a FIFA 16 Ultimate Team based on players from the Serie A. Even the players that have a Serie A team, could take out some valuable conclusions from this guide that could help them make their team even better.

We received thousands of comments about similar guides that we have published in previous years. Most of them have asked us to help improve their teams and the players they had. It’s important that the readers understand that this guide is simply guidance. It’s a theme too vast and the player combinations are almost infinite. Besides, there are various factors that influence the choices, like one’s style of play, the formations used, the available budget, the preferences or even the time spent playing. There’s still one uncertain component: a good player for someone might not be for another. If there was a better team everyone would fight to get it. Part of the fun of FIFA 16 Ultimate Team is this: everyone has their personal club and players.

Another important point and that must stay very clear is that whoever is reading this guide, it’s about the criteria we chose and should be of everyone’s knowledge:

  • Only Gold Players
    • In this guide we didn’t consider silver or bronze players. Most players don’t assume them to be a better option than gold players, so to simplify the guide’s analysis we didn’t include them. In the future we may come to publish guides exclusively talking about these categories.
  • Only Regular Players
    • In this guide we didn’t consider In Forms (IF). They’re extremely expensive and in most cases are not considered good value for money. They should only be used by players with generous budgets, that already have the best team possible and that want small upgrades.
  • Only Normal Players
    • In this guide we didn’t consider players that have been transferred to other clubs or that have been reviewed (UP). Only players that started their season in the Serie A and with their original attributes were considered.
  • Only Original Attributes
    • In this guide we didn’t consider changes made on a players performance such happens when applying training or chemistry styles cards.
  • Position analysis
    • To make the comprehension of this guide easier we divided the players in nine distinct groups in order of their original position: Goalkeeper (GK), central backs (CB), right backs (RB and RWB), left backs (LB and LWB), central defensive midfielders (CDM) central midfielders (CM and CAM), right midfielders (RM, RW and RF), left midfielders (LM, LW and LF) and forwards (CF and ST).
  • Prices at the date of publication of the guide
    • In the chapter where FIFA 16 Ultimate Team Serie A teams are suggested, the prices considered are the ones of the date of the guide’s publication: October 2015. It’s natural that they have suffered some peaks and troughs throughout the season, so they should only be considered as guiding prices.

    Serie A

The Serie A is one of the most competitive leagues in the world, but the football is not as spectacular as it is in UK, Spain or Germany.

The qualification of the champion is made through the made points system. Whichever team gathers the most points wins the league. The first three classified teams gain access to the champions league of the next year, while the fourth and fifth qualify for the Europa League and the last three trade places with the first three qualified from the Serie B. Every season starts in September and finishes in May, having 38 game weeks with ten matches each, being a total of 380 matches per season.

The Serie A is the fourth best league classified in the UEFA league coefficients.

Started in 1898, the Italian league has been conquered by sixteen clubs. The dominant club is Juventus, with a total of 31 titles. AC Milan (18), Inter (18) and Genova (9) are the other teams that have won numerous titles.

    [vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″]

As to last season, the Serie A lost some good players such as El Sharaawy (Monaco), Yanga-Mbiwa (Lyon), A. Rami and F. Llorente (Sevilla), Joaquín and Juan Vargas (Real Betis), S. Savic (Atlético de Madrid), M. Essien (Panathinaikos), Micah Richards (Aston Villa), J. Holebas and Victor Ibarbo (Watford), X. Shaqiri (Stoke City), A. Ogbonna (West Ham), G. Inler (Leicester), Eduardo Vargas (Hoffenheim), S. Doumbia (CSKA Moscow), Mario Gomez (Besiktas) and Javier Saviola (River Plate). But, the biggest out transfers were the move of Kovacic from Inter to Real Madrid by 35 million Euros and Carlos Tévez from Juventus to Boca Juniors by 6 million Euros.

These transfers didn’t necessarily make the Serie A weaker. The Italian teams spent many million Euros on strong reinforcements: Mario Balotelli, Luiz Adriano and Carlos Bacca (AC Milan), Gerson, W. Szczesny, M. Salah and E. Dzeko (Roma), Rafael Tolói (Atalanta), J. Blaszczykowski and Kalinic (Fiorentina), Ansaldi and Diego Capel (Geona), Felipe Melo, S. Jovetic, Miranda, Kondogbia and I. Perisic (Inter), Cuadrado and Khedira (Juventus), Milinkovic and Ricardo Kishna (Lazio). But the biggest transfers of the season happened in Turin. Manzukic and Alex Sandro joined Serie A by 45 million Euros.

Serie A is a good choice for those who are looking for quality players, but don’t have a large budget. There is not many choices, but the players in Serie A are probably the best value for money.

Best FIFA 16 Serie A Goalkeepers

Goalkeepers are the players that are used least on the field. Because of this they are also first ignored when building a team. Most players start their purchases with a forward, later they strengthen the midfield the defence and only later the goal. The truth is a good goalkeeper may be worth a lot of goals. They are a good investment because they are normally the most economically accessible players.

The goalkeepers with most prestige in the Serie A are the charismatic Gianluigi Buffon, the new signing Diego López and the Slovenian National team goalkeeper Samir Handanovič. With having the best rating they are also the most searched for by this league’s teams so this makes them more expensive.

When choosing a good goalkeeper it’s not only down to his rating. There are two fundamental attributes for choosing a good goalkeeper: reflexes and diving.

The first measures a goalkeeper’s agility when making a save. The best on this aspect is Mattia Perin. In the world, no one has better reflexes than him.

Diving is a fundamental attribute when choosing a goalkeeper. It measures the capacity for a goalkeeper to make a save when jumping.

In this attribute, it is Samir Handanovič the best one.

The most experienced Ultimate Team players know that another leaning factor on a goalkeeper’s performance without considering the remaining four attributes: height. The more tall a goalkeeper is, better his chances of having a clean sheet.

The Serie A goalkeepers are very tall. From the twenty one goalies, fourteen have at least 190cm. Željko Brkić is the tallest one, 9cm taller than Mattia Perin.

The choice for the best Serie A goalkeeper on FIFA 16 Ultimate Team is really easy.

In the five most important attributes, Samir Handanovič is the best in two and one of the best in other the three. Only Buffon can be compared to him. Mattia Perin was the good surprise of the year, while Neto is the economic choice.

Best FIFA 16 Serie A Centre Backs

A goalkeepers task is made easier if in front of him are quality centre backs. Their function is to stop the opponent from getting dangerously close to your team’s goal.

Giorgio Chiellini is by far the centre back with the best reputation in the Serie A.

    Giorgio Chiellini 87 Juventus ITA
    Miranda 84 Inter BRA
    Andrea Barzagli 84 Juventus ITA
    Nemanja Vidić 83 Inter SRB

    Martín Cáceres 81 Juventus URU
    Raúl Albiol 81 Napoli ESP
    Maurício 80 Lazio BRA
    Gonzalo Rodríguez 80 Fiorentina ARG
    Nikola Maksimović 80 Torino SRB

With a centre back, two attributes assume particular importance on their performance: defending and the new attribute physical, which represents strength, stamina, aggression and jumping.

A player with better defending will have an easier chance of dispossessing the opponent and avoid him reaching your box.

It’s the case of the best rated players: Giorgio Chiellini, Miranda and Andrea Barzagli. It’s really hard to get past hem. The most experienced players are normally those who have a higher rating on this attribute..

    Giorgio Chiellini 90 Juventus ITA
    Andrea Barzagli 88 Juventus ITA
    Miranda 86 Inter BRA
    Martín Cáceres 86 Juventus URU
    Nemanja Vidić 85 Inter SRB

    Raúl Albiol 84 Napoli ESP
    Nikola Maksimović 84 Torino SRB
    Danilo 84 Udinese BRA
    Alex 83 Milan BRA
    Gonzalo Rodríguez 83 Fiorentina ARG

The new physical attribute shows the old heading capability but also how likely the players are to win game with their body. This is a crucial attribute when looking for the best centre back.

In this chapter Chiellini and Kalidou Koulibaly are the strongest ones.

    Kalidou Koulibaly 86 Napoli FRA
    Giorgio Chiellini 84 Juventus ITA
    Juan Jesus 84 Inter BRA
Sebastian De Maio 83 Genoa FRA

    Maurício 80 Lazio BRA
    Modibo Diakité 80 Frosinone FRA
    Nikola Maksimović 79 Torino SRB
    Gabriel Paletta 79 Atalanta ITA

Defending and heading may be useless against fast opponents. It’s necessary to fight fire with fire. No one likes feeling impotent when seeing you get overrun by extremely fast players. Even though, in a way, centre backs aren’t that fast, every team needs one of these players with a high pace attribute.

Martín Cáceres is the fastest gold centre back in the world. But there are other fast players in Serie A, like Juan Jesus, Antonio Rüdiger and Manolas.

    Martín Cáceres 83 Juventus URU
    Kostas Manolas 81 Roma GRE
    Juan Jesus 80 Inter BRA

Giorgio Chiellini is our number one choice for this position. He is fast and the one with better defending stats. The Juventus’ defender is the most expensive of all centre backs in Serie A.

Manolas is slightly better than Miranda, especially in pace and work rates, while Alex or Vidic can only be useful in squads with three centre backs.

Juan Jesus is our economic choice. He is fast and has good defending and physical stats.

Full backs have the role of troubling the job of wingers. In addition, good full backs also support their team mates on offensive manoeuvres.

Maicon and Lichtsteiner are the most popular right backs playing in Serie A.

There are very important attributes for any right back: defending and pace.

Since they’re defenders they should have good defending capacities. This reduces a team’s risk of conceding.

In Italy, no one defends as well as Lichtsteiner and Basta.

A flanked game tends to be faster than a game based in the middle of the field. The players that fill these spaces are obligated to be fast, both penetrating defensive and attacking moves of the team. Pace is one of the most important requirements for a good full back.

Abate and Bruno Peres are two of the three fastest gold right backs in the world.

Lichtsteiner is the most complete right back playing in Serie A. He has good attacking and defending stats, and his work rate is perfect. In our opinion he is the best one. However, he is not a fast player. If that is a problem to you, then try Abate.

If you don’t have enough coins to buy them, choose Bruno Peres. He has poor defensive stats but he is really fast, which may be important too.

Left backs have exactly the same role of their team mates on the other flank. In other words, they try to make a winger’s job hard and participate in the team’s offensive manoeuvres.

A team’s left flank has even less options than the right but that doesn’t necessarily mean it has less quality. Alex Sandro, the most rated left back, was a great addition to this league.

Best FIFA 16 Serie A Central Defensive Midfielders

Many of the FIFA 16 Ultimate Team formations require some midfielders that have a natural aptitude to defend. Central defensive midfielders distinguish themselves for being especially aimed to help the more retreated line of their teams. According to their attributes and their work rates, they can also be useful for starting attacks. They are players that occupy a very strategic position in the field.

Daniele De Rossi and Khedira are the two most popular central defensive midfielders in Serie A.

    Sami Khedira 83 Juventus GER
Daniele De Rossi 83 Roma ITA
    Lucas Biglia 82 Lazio ARG

    Jorginho 77 Napoli ITA
    Milan Badelj 77 Fiorentina CRO
    Fernando 76 Sampdoria BRA

There are a variety of attributes in a central defensive midfielder that you have to give attention: defending, so that the first defender of team works; strength, so that you win all brawls in a prone area of the field; heading, to win possession in aerial moves like goal kicks; pace, so that you cover the most terrain on the field as possible; stamina, so they can equally participate in offensive and defensive moves (especially useful for players with high/high work rates); passing and possession so that he can properly start attacks. In our opinion the two first are the most important.

Normally using a central defensive midfielder is associated with having a deficit of elements in your defence. So, it makes sense that when you search for a player to occupy this position you’d want players that can defend.

De Rossi and Khedira are really good choices for teams that want to complicate an opponent’s game in the space between the midfield and the defence.

    Jasmin Kurtić 72 Atalanta SVN

The area of the field occupied by the central defensive midfielders is the one where most ball disputes happen. Strong players will have a higher probability of winning the ball.

Once again, Khedira stands out. Only Gary Medel has better physical than him. On the other hand there’s Jorginho. The Brazilian player rarely wins a physical brawl due to being the weakest central defensive midfielder from the main Italian League.

There are many good players for this position but we believe that the choice has to be made between Khedira and Rossi. It is not easy to decide who is the best one. We picked Khedira because he is stronger but you will be OK with De Rossi too.

Medel is a very interesting player. Much faster than our first choices, he represents muscle in the midfield. However, he is not so balanced player. He is our economic choice.

Paul Pogba is undoubtedly the best player for this position. He is strong, fast and with great stats for all other attributes, including amazing stamina. He can play as CAM, CM or even CDM. For this last position, we prefer our second choice, Claudio Marchisio.

Best FIFA 16 Serie A Right Wingers

    RM | RW | RF

The wingers are responsible for giving game width in the attack. They’re normally very explosive players.

Cuadrado and Candreva are the two right wingers most popular who play in Serie A.

    Antonio Candreva 83 Lazio ITA
    Juan Cuadrado 82 Juventus COL
    Mohamed Salah 80 Roma EGY
    Jakub Błaszczykowski 80 Fiorentina POL
    Domenico Berardi 80 Sassuolo ITA
    Iago Falqué 79 Roma ESP
    Jonathan Biabiany 78 Inter FRA
Juan Manuel Iturbe 77 Roma ARG
    Keisuke Honda 77 Milan JAP
    Ricardo Álvarez 77 Inter ARG

There are three fundamental attributes for a winger: pace, dribbling and passing.

Pace is probably the biggest weapon of these players. They use it to evade opponents and getting to the other side, many times via sprints on the side lines.

The Serie A is extremely well served in this chapter. Five gold players have pace over 92, being the highlighted Jonathan Biabiany.

    Jonathan Biabiany 94 Inter FRA
    Juan Cuadrado 93 Juventus COL
Juan Manuel Iturbe 92 Roma ARG
    Mohamed Salah 91 Roma EGY
    Serge Gakpé 91 Genoa TOG

    Antonio Candreva 86 Lazio ITA
    Edenílson 85 Udinese BRA
    Jakub Błaszczykowski 82 Fiorentina POL
    Iago Falqué 80 Roma ESP

Just being fast doesn’t cut it to reach the opponents box, having good dribbling to surpass the opponents’ players that appear on the way.

There are a lot of players gifted in dribbling, being Cuadrado the best one.

    Juan Cuadrado 87 Juventus COL
    Antonio Candreva 85 Lazio ITA
    Mohamed Salah 85 Roma EGY
    Iago Falqué 85 Roma ESP
Juan Manuel Iturbe 84 Roma ARG

    Jonathan Biabiany 82 Inter FRA
    Ricardo Álvarez 82 Inter ARG
    Jakub Błaszczykowski 81 Fiorentina POL
Simone Pepe 80 Chievo Verona ITA

When reaching the opponents box the winger has to decide what to do. Normally, they choose to cross to the forwards. That is why it’s important for them to have good passing.

Only Candreva and Honda offer good quality passing. Biabiany and Iturbe, for example, could’ve been options to consider filling this slot in virtue of their fantastic pace, but they are affected negatively for missing frequently passes to their more forward team mates.

    Antonio Candreva 82 Lazio ITA
    Keisuke Honda 81 Milan JAP
    Jakub Błaszczykowski 78 Fiorentina POL
    Ricardo Álvarez 78 Inter ARG
Simone Pepe 77 Chievo Verona ITA
Valter Birsa 77 Chievo Verona SVN
    Juan Cuadrado 75 Juventus COL
    Domenico Berardi 75 Sassuolo ITA
    Iago Falqué 74 Roma ESP
    Marquinho 74 Udinese BRA

    [vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″]

There are only two good players for this position but it is really difficult to choose between them. Candreva is slightly better than Cuadrado in almost every stat, including much better stamina. However, the pace of the Colombian player can make the difference. What he lacks in these attributes he highly compensates with his pace. That’s the main reason why we consider him the best Serie A right winger.

The young player Berardi is our economic choice.

There is lack of quality left wingers in Serie A. It’s probably the weakest position of this league.

In our opinion, Felipe Anderson is the best left winger. His stats are not great, but pace and dribbling, which are the most important ones, look amazing.

If you are looking for someone that also helps your defence, you should try Kwadwo Asamoah. He is not fast as Gervinho and Felipe Anderson, but he is a more balanced player. The Ghanaian winger is the strongest and one of the best in any of the other five basic attributes. Besides that, he has high/high work rate.

To score goals shooting is necessary. If either by foot or head, the most important attribute for a forward are: shooting, heading and pace.

Most goals are scored with the foot so good shooting is a necessary attribute for a forward.

The experienced Serie A forwards Quagliarella, Dzeko and Totti are the ones with best shooting.

Jump, strength and stamina are the ingredients to the new physical attribute, very important when we are analysing the best forwards: jump to score with the head; strength to dispute the ball with the opponents; and stamina to sprint in direction of goal at any time of the game.

Most of the best Serie A strikers don’t have good physical. It’s not the case of Mandžukić.

Depending on the style of play and formation, having good shooting and heading may not be enough for a striker. Especially in games that privilege counter-attack, pace is a very important attribute.

Dybala and Moralez are the fastest strikers. They are better than Ménez, Palacio and Cerci.

Higuaín is, in our opinion, the best Serie A forward. He is not the best one in any of the six main attributes, but he is a very balanced player.

If you need another striker or if you can’t pay Higuain, then you have to choose between Dybala, if you play with the ball in the ground, and Mandžukić, if you often cross the ball to the head. Dybala is pure class: he’s the fastest striker and also the one with best dribbling. Mandžukić is perfect for target man, because his heading is almost unstoppable. If you need someone more balanced, you can go for Bacca or Morata.

Far from these strikers quality, Rodrigo Palácio is, once again, our cheapest choice. Give him a try and you will understand why we love him.

    Serie A Team Suggestions

A lot of people think that this is the most important part of the guide. It’s not. The thing that is really important to know is how to choose players based on their role and style of play that fits each player. The team suggestions that follow are simple graphic indicators of what we wrote previously. They should serve merely as orientation because it’s impossible to build a team that fits everyone. They depend on various factors we don’t know such as budget, formation, style of play and player preferences.

To try and explore the needs of the maximum player as possible we suggest three teams with different budgets and formations (1): 4-1-2-1-2 with unlimited budget, 4-3-3 with 100k budget and 4-4-2 with a 25k budget.

    (1) These formations were chosen because they are the most popular ones. It doesn’t mean that they are the best formations for this league.

    • Summary
    • The choice for this team’s players was based on analysis made in the previous chapters.

Handanovic is one of the community favourites. He is still the goalkeeper of this team.

If there are undoubted players in this team, Chiellini is certainly one of them. It is clear his superiority. He keeps on being the boss of the defensive foursome for all and a few more reasons. With Manolas they are the nightmare for every forward. On the right side, Stephan Lichtsteiner is the best player, but you may pick Abate depending if you want someone faster. On the left side, Alex Sandro is much better than anyone else.

Marchisio is a CM but he plays as a CDM like no one does. Not even De Rossi or Khedira. This ‘box to box’ player is perfect to play behind Pogba, the most expensive Serie A player. You can play with Pogba behind Marchisio, but in our opinion the Italian player is better defensive midfielder: he defends better, has higher interception, marking and aggression stats and his work rates are more suitable for this position.

On the wings, pace is crucial. That’s why Felipe Anderson and Cuadrado were chosen to these positions. Higuain is THE striker but if you need someone else, you can choose between Mandzukic and Dybala, depending if you plan to cross or not. If you play with three forwards, you can try to use Tévez between Higuain and Dybala, without losing chemistry.

Once all the players reach maximum individual chemistry you can go without a manager for your squad. They’ll be of no use and still spend contracts.

    • Summary
    • The choice for this team’s players was based on analysis made in the previous chapters.

The players of the previous team are too expensive to be used in the medium budget squad. Perin, Zúñiga and Jesus don’t have the same quality but they allow you to save many coins. Cáceres is a bargain and Bruno Peres is good enough to replace Lichtsteiner.

For this budget, the central midfield position has to be Medel’s. He builds up the first barrier between your goal line and the opponent, making his defensiveness and physicality count. Hamsik and Hernanes complete the midfield.

In the attack, Gervinho and Salah have the mission to send the ball to Mandzukic’s head. If you need a more complete striker, use Rodrigo Palacio.

If you still have some room in your budget, Lichtsteiner, Felipe Anderson and even Higuan are players that would improve this squad a lot.

    • Summary
    • The choice for this team’s players was based on analysis made in the previous chapters.

In the goal, Neto is a decent very cheap goalkeeper. Zapata, Rudiger, Montoya and Radu are the four other defenders. If you need someone more attacking to the left side, try Ansaldi.

On the midfield, Medel and Bonaventura complete each other well. The first one is a defensive midfielder while the second is used to assisting his team mates. Blaszczykowski and Asamoah, another very cheap player, fill the wings in order to assist Jovetic and Cerci.

    1. What variation of the 4-3-3 should I use? And what midfielders should I have(excluding Pogba)? I’m very confused.

            • Hi I have tried differently by transfering players from various clubs to Napoli and using default formation. The main squad consists of Higuain(st), Carlos Vela(lw), Lucas(rw), Gotze(cam), Toure Yaya(ldm), Matic(rdm), David Alaba(lb), Zapaleta(rb), Boeteng(rcb), Kompany(lcb), Czech(Gk). Sub – Tevez(st), Curdado(rw), Nicolas Gaitain(lw), Mertens(cam), Verthgheon or Subotic(CB), Pjanic or Ramsey(cm), Akneeifiv(Gk),De Rossi or mavuba(cdm). For double players playing one team use Jovektic or Bacca or Llorente or manzukukic or negredo in cam position to get both players an advantage in goal scoring chances often. Please try this in normal mode not in manager mode. I tried it and it makes Napoli as one of the toughest teams. But The game often cheats when it comes to Barcelona against any team. The referee with strict bookings and fouls also supports Barcelona. You will notice that many offsides are not given to Messi and neymar. Iniesta sprint speed is 72 I think but runs as 94. They may hit you illegally some times and the referee gives them free kick and no card would be given. They kick outs in your goal post side and will take corner…. I totally caught mad at this stupid incidents. It happens all the time. They some how gets to score. You will know that the game suddenly makes your pass not to meet the other player and they would score. During that time I usually clear the ball and the referee gave them free kick and I even checked instant replay for any fouls but nothing happened in the replay. This happened twice in the game after playing against Barcelona for 11 times. Sometimes your goal keeper will make any mistakes and some times your defender puts own goals. I just want you to check it by your self. Extra time is given more to Barcelona and plays more even though time is over. The referee Whistle after we get the ball from them and the referee doesn’t give time for our goal moves but gives more to Barcelona.

            • Sorry for miss spelling some words. Hope you would understand my grammar though….

    2. Hello Rodrigo, This is my serie A team, what do you think of it?. It’s about 200k at ps3 and works really good for me. I personally think hamsik in form is a better choice, beacause his price(25k at PS3). Also have mandzukic in form the bench, to replace tevez or dybala when they are injured. Do you have any suggestions for my left mid. I also won Nicola Sansone TOTS from a TOTS cup, but he has 3 star and i prefer a 4 star at the wingers. I think filipe anderson is also a good choice.

    3. Hi Rodrigo, i want to build up a Serie A team. I have around 50k coins and 5-3-2 is my favorite formation. But, BPL seems attractive as well. What do you suggest? I dont play much on wings and use midfield mostly. Regards

    4. I am playing with 4-2-3-1(2). At first, I am using de Rossi and Khedira as CDMs but they aren´t playing as expected. Should I keep them or put Nainggolan and Marchisio?

      GK Handanovic
      RB Lichesteiner
      CB Chiellini
      CB Manolas
      RB Sandro
      CDM Khedira
      CDM De Rossi
      CAM Mertens
      RM Cuadrado
      LM Felipe Anderson
      ST Higuain

    5. Hi Rodrigo,

I’ve seen the comments n learned how to utilize tevez in 4312 formation but what if i wanted to fit in aguero too? How can i make him and tevez wit 9 or full 10 chemistry if possible? Any suggestions?

I can’t afford pogba atm so who do u think should be in the middle CM in 4312? marchisio or nainngolan? or any other suggestions?

    6. Hey Rodrigo,
      My current Team is:
      GK: IF Navas (80)
      RB: Lichtsteiner
      CBR: Chiellini
      CBL: Ramos
      LB: Marcelo
      CML: TOTY Modric (93)
      CMC: Pogba
      CMR: Pereyra
      CAM: Dybala (81)
      STR: Tevez
      STL: TIF Higuain (89)

So my Question: Do you have any suggestions regarding my team? Everybody is on 10 chem, but is this necessary? Which Players would you change? What other tips do you have regarding my team? Do you think I Should Change pereyra with marchisio or naingolan so That tevez is on 8chem? And Should I Change dybala with Di Maria so that Pogba is on 8 Chem and also TIF Higuain with Aguero (88) ? And in Goal Buffon or Navas but them Ramos is on 7chem. I have an Argentinien Serie A Manager. Please help me.
Thank you very much. Love your Guides.

    8. Hi, Rodrigo. That’s a nice guide! Thanks to share your experiences with us.

I got a question for you: I like to play more in defense, trying first to not allow my opponent score, and then playing in counter attacks.

For a team with a small budget (10k to make 4 choices), who you reccomend me for compose my midfielder (it needs to be 3 CDM/CM with high defensive stats and 1 CAM)?

      Thanks again!!

    9. 4231 (with CAM’s)
LB :Alex Sandro; CB: Juan Jesus; CB: Manolas; RB: Lichtsteiner
      RDM: Medel (saving for Nainggolan); LDM: Pereyra;
      CF: Callejon or Menez (suggestion)
      LAM: Insigne; RAM: Mertens
      ST: Dybala
Fifa 16 Mobile with that shity price range is even harder
      Any suggestin in that money

    10. Hey,Rodrigo i would like to replace higuain or dybala with the new transfered doumbia or should i keep dybala and higuain up front

    11. Hi Rodrigo, just want to quickly ask your opinion on fredy Guarin. I believe he was very popular last year, but this year I’m not too sure. Can you explain to me what you think of him?

      • Hi.
In my opinion he is a good player. One of the good things is that he can attacks but also defends very well.
However, Serie A has many good players in this position and for that reason he is not as popular as he already was in the past.

    12. Hello, thanks for the information, very useful.
I playing 4-1-2-1-2 narrow. Any thoughts on wich of the teams that is the ultimate?
      Team 1
      Alex Sandro, Barzagli, Chiellini, Liechtsteiner
      De Rossi
      Naingollan, Marchisio
      Higuain, Dybala

      Team 2
      Alex Sandro, Barzagli, Chiellini, Liechtsteiner
      Pogba, Marchisio
      Higuain, Dybala

    13. Hey Rodrigo here is my squad
In the 4312 formation. How could I improve this squad with about 170k coins. I really like Tevez but would like to improve the people around him. Thank you.

    14. Hey Rodrigo!
      I´m still Optimizing my Squads.
      1st Squad 3-5-2:
      GK: Handanovic
      3 CB: Manolas, Miranda, Chiellini
2 CDM: Marchisio (Or Khedira? ), De Rossi
      LM: Asamoah
      RM: Cuadrado
      CAM: Pogba
      Left ST: Higuain
      Right ST: Dybala

      2nd Squad: 41212-2
      GK: Perin
      LB: Alex Sandro
      CBs: Barzagli – Bonucci
      LB: Lichtsteiner
      CDM: Khedira
      LCM: Pjanic/Nainggolan
      RCM: Pastore
      CAM: Pereyra
      LST: Palacio
      RST: Tevez

Is there anything you would optimize? I´m not really happy with my Striker Constellations. Higuain often looses the ball and is making too many Mistakes so i´m thinking about choosing another Striker.
Tried Morata, Bacca and Mandzukic but all of them doesn´t satisfy me.
What about Jovetic or Di Natale? I prefer playing Short passes and want my Wingers to cut inside so i prefer Long Shots over Heading.
And thx for your Guides, they´re really helping a lot.

    15. Hi Rodrigo, been following your website since a few weeks now. First time commenting.

I started working on a Serie A team recently, and after reading your suggestions have out up the following team.

Lichsteiner — Cacares —- Juan Jesus —- Maxwell (PSG)

I am on Android. This team has done wonders for me in a 4-3-3 and I have really been enjoying playing the game. I like to play the game on the ground and Dybala, Lavezzi have been immense for me.

I have just bid for Candreva. Hopefully I’ll buy him.

As you can see, the left side has Maxwell and Lavezzi which are not from Serie A. I used to have Matuidi as a CM there, but I just sold him as I felt he wasn’t as good as CM and bought Guarin.

Maxwell links with Jesus while Lavezzi links with Dybala. Do you think there are better options within Serie A?

Lavezzi has been scoring a lot of goals for me and the lack of RWs in Serie A really put me off

    16. Hi Rodrigo
      i like to play 4-3-3 (5) false 9
and my starting 11 for now are
      GK Perin
      RB Lichtsteiner
      CB Barzagli
      CB Manolas
      LB Evra
      CDM Khedira
      CM Pjanic
      CM Valero
      RW Salah
      CF Palacio
      LW Anderson
and i dont buy coins do i dont have much coins right now
      i have only around 10k
and im not sure which positions should i upgrade first
like u said Handanovic is the best but still Perin is very good and has higher reflex rate
and i can’t afford Chellini right now
but after thinking too much i decided to buy Marchisio
do u recommend buying Marchisio over Naingolan?
and if i play with one CF who would be better Higuain or Dybala?
and do u think i need to get a CM first or the CF

            • Thank you!
i already got most of the best seria a players except Pogba
and i red comments and you advice to not play with wings and i actually like middle play and lots of short passes but i can’t decided which formation is the best yet
i tried 4312 and i think its good but maybe im not used to it yet
              i want to try 41212 (2)
do you think there’s any difference between 4312 and 41212 except for one CDM rather than 3 CMs
and do you recommend other formations that is most fitted for passing and penetrate defence though the one two and short passes?

    17. Rodrigo,

You mentioned above that you can play with the three Higuain, Dubala and Tevez. How is that possible?

I am trying to play with the trident Palacio, Tevez and Dybala but I can t as it will affect the chemistry a lot since both Palacio and Dubala are Sts not wingers?

      Please advise

    18. So wait for BF really? Will Tevez go below 30k? What if the players who actually have him refuse to sale? This his price goes up or I won’t be able to even see his card?

Tevez is crucial to me as I really need his quality up front! Are you sure that I should wait? I am also getting Pererya to have an all argentian midfield with Carlitos being a CF.

      Please advise

    19. Rodrigo,

4-4-1-1 is my best formation that I enjoy and get results with – having said that – I can’t wait to get Tevez! He is he cheap version of Aguero for me!

I don’t like Juve players (being Interista) but in order to add Tevez and have no effect on my high chemistry, I am thinking of also getting Pererya. So I can play with Tevez as a CF alongside Perez, Pereya (only problem is I won’t be able to use Nainngolan (my best CM in the game) so having Palacio, Dybala, Icardi will make it easier to use Tevez even as a ST.

I’m not planning to Change 4-4-1-1 even though I sometimes tweak it to 4-4-2 and 4-3-3 (4) if I am conceading

      Are you in agreement?

    20. Hi Rodri, nice articule.
I have simple question, I’m using 4-1-2-1-2, with Bacca and Dybala and Hernanes as a CAM, who is not being useful due to his low phy stats. Which cam would you recommend? I can not afford pogba or marchisio o naingolean. I’m thinking of Pereyra or Pjanic, maybe mertens I don’t know. Which would you recommend me?

    21. I plan to build 4-3-1-2 with serie A team.

      LB: Zuniga
      CB: Caceres & Juan Jesus
      RB: Perez
      CM: …., …., ……
      CAM: Hamsik
      ST: Jovetic & Dybala

Can you suggest me best 3 CM to fill the blank ( Exclude Pogba and Marchisio)

    22. Hello Rodrigo

Thanks for your guides, they are super helpful
Is Marchetti a good option in goal, or should I stick to somebody like Perin

    23. I tend to play 5-2-3 and have foud success with Seria A players. Particular changes I have made are Guarin and Mertens in midfield, who complement eachother well. Guarin os highly under rated and worth a look in, good for the dirty work and long ramge shooting. Mertens is the box to box man, often feeding the front man (Callajon – Napoli – Dyabala and Higuain didn’t quite work for me) after ducking through the defence.

    24. Rodrigo, I am thinking of a partner for Bonucci – probably cannot afford 66k Chielini, who would you suggest?
I was thinking of Caceres stats-wise . Why do players not use him ?
      thx in adv

    25. Hi Rodrigo,
      I have this squad
      GK: Handanovic
      RB: Lichtsteiner
      CBR: Manolas
      CBL: Chiellini
      LB: Alex Sandro
      CML: Marchisio
      CMC: Naingolan
      CMR: Pereyra
      CAM: Di Maria
      STR: Tevez
      STL: Higuain

So my Question: Who Would you suggest instead of Peyreyra? I can’t afford Pogba so I Need another option.
I’m still Saving in Pogba But he is so expansive 🙁
And Should i Replace Higuain with Aguero ?
      Thank you very much 😉

        • Thank you very much.
So do you think it’s better to play with pereyra until i can affort pogba rather than switching him with any other Serie A CM ? I don’t like Mertens he is too week in my opinion for a CM Role in a 4-3-1-2. I also like pereyra very much but i think there might be a better option than him. Maybe Guarin ?
          Thank you very much 🙂

            • Hey,
              My current Team is:
              GK: Handanovic
              RB: Lichtsteiner
              CBR: Manolas
              CBL: Chiellini
              LB: Alex Sandro
              CML: Marchisio
              CMC: Pogba
              CMR: Naingolan
              CAM: Di Maria
              STL: Agüero
              STR: Tevez

So my Question is: Do you have any suggestions, who would improve this squad?
Should i replace any of these players?
              Should i Buy Informs?
What can i do if i Want to improve this squad?
And one thing, what do you think about my squad?
              Thank you very much!

            • Obviously, it is a great squad. I don’t know how much chemist your strikers and CAm have, but the team is really nice.
Don’t buy IF. They are not good value for money. Naingolan is not my favourite but understand your choice. There are other good players for that position.

            • My Strikers and CAM have 8 Chem.
So who would you suggest instead of naingolan ? I don’t see many other Options in Serie A.

            • Hi Rodrigo,
              My current Team is:
              GK: Neuer
              RB: Lichtsteiner
              CBR: Chiellini
              CBL: Boateng
              LB: Alaba
              CML: Vidal
              CMC: Pogba
              CMR: IF Naingolan
              CAM: IF Dybala
              STL: Agüero
              STR: Tevez

Do you have any suggestions below my current Team I’m in Division 1 and Want to win it. So who would you suggest to improve my team? I Love your Guides
              Think you very much
              Greetings from Austria !

            • Who is a better player for that Position in your opinion than naingolan? Maybe not someone from Serie A? But then who is your Favorite choice?
Thank you very very much you are helping me so much 🙂

    26. I am using 3-5-2 formation. Any feedbacks on this serie a squad?
      GK: handanovic
      CB: chiellini, barzagli, bonnuci
      CDM: khedira, de rossi
      LM: gervinho
      RM: cuadrado
      CAM: pogba
      ST: higuain, mandzukic

    27. Hello Rodrigo
What is the best RM,RW (no Messi, no Bale, no Costa)?

      Hola Rodrigo

Cual es el mejor RM, RW (Sin incluir a Messi, Bale ni a Costa)?

    28. Rodrigo, hopefully a quick one – Im hoping to have Tevez up front with maybe Dybala, noticed you said Palacio is far from the quality of Higuain Dybala etc. – is that true?, if so what do you mean ?, thx in adv

    29. Why do you recommend 8 chem Tevez rather than 10 chem with Dybala, Higuain and Pereya next to him who are all really good players?

        • Love these guides Rodrigo – so helpful

I’ve finally traded up enough coins to by Tevez and was hoping to put him in this hybrid

I’ve just noticed the strikers are the wrong way round for preferred foot (Tevez right footed on the left etc) – i cant switch them without losing chem

Will this team still work or is it back to the darwing board?? – it took me ages to plan and save up to

Do you know the impact of switching them in game or is that something nobody knows?

and thanks again for these guides

    30. My squad: I like hybrids so got players from BBVA, BPL and Serie A

      RBs: B.peres – Darmian – Baragan

      CBs: Sakho – A.Santos – Okore – Ogbonna – Zapata – Murillo

LB: Rose – Zuniga – Telles

      CDM: Melo – Allan – Kouyate – Sanchez –

      CM: Borja V – Kondogbia – Eriksen – (Nianggolan)

      CAM: Mertens – Wilshere – Lanzini(packed)

RM: Cuadrado – Lamela – Berarrdi

LM: Perisic – Mirallas – F. Anderson (Fegouli RM but forgot to add above)

      ST: Benteke – Jovetic – Dybala – Palacio – Origi – Rodrigo

My starting lineup: either 4-4-1-1 or 4-4-2

Vorm, Darmian, Ogbonna, Okore, Rose, Cuadrado, Guarin(used to), Eriksen, Mirallas, Jovetic as a CF (best position) and Dybala.

Vorm, Darmian, Vertonghen?, Okore, Rose, Cuadrado, Nainggolan?, Eriksen, Mirallas, Dybala and Benteke

Please let me know what you think, how to improve and if you have better combination than the above 2 lineups even though both of them have 100 as chemistry

        • I know – but your input is very important especially on formation and how to improve – which players to get to go to the next level while maintains same high chemistry if possible.

Take your time but let me know your feedback!

        • Rodrigo I couldn’t share my squad from web app:
However this 4-4-1-1 I have been using a lot and i do like it.

          Begovic – Lichesteiner – ogbonna – Vertonghen – Rose

          Cuadrado – Melo – Jovetic – Eriksen/Valero – Mirallas

Now I am thinking of getting Konoplyanka to improve the left side – he is for me the new hazard! In order to that I will have to get trelemounas who is an also decent LB and need to replace my CBs with A French CB (can’t afford Koscicelny now) so as the chemistry not affected.

In another thought I also would add J. Martinez ( by selling Remy) and rotating between him and Benteke in a lone striker position. Problem is Martinez is expensive and I can’t afford to get all those players at once (Konoplyanka – Martinez – Koscileny and Trelimonas ) any advice as to the next step regarding the above thoughts?

            • Problem is Chemsitry can’t be raised to 100 here and players chemistry as well won’t reach 8 at least unless I change the manager! So If i took a manager who works in Liga – I will get Eriksen chemistry 7 and same goes to (Konoplyanka: 6 and Martinez 7) if an English manager?

Can you please advise? Also what are the other players that can improve this squad?

            • Well, if you are getting troubles making this team, maybe you should focus in a single league.
You get one extra individual chemistry point if the manager has the same nationality or league (or both, of course)

    31. Hi Rodrigo, first comment, but I follow your site for about a year now, and is my first source for anything related FUT 🙂
I’m building a Serie A team (433(2)) but as a Boca Juniors fan I miss Tevez. I’m looking into your suggestion to put him with Dybala and Higuain (suppose that Palacio will works too). how do you get chemistry 8 for Tevez? are you put him as a CF/CAM?

Another question, do you think that Marchisio is better than Nainggolan as CDM?

      • First of all, thank you very much for following us.
433(2) ? In my opinion, you should try a 4312 formation with Tévez and Higuain as strikers and Dybala as CAM. Tévez qill get chemistry 8 but that’s not a problem.
I believe that Nainggolan could be a better CDM than Marchisio.
