BID

Proposal. Each offer of an auction.

 

BID BUMPING

The same as Price Jacking or Bid Jacking. Scamming techniques where, at the end of an auction, somebody with a separate account and that owns a player’s card, raises the price massively hoping that somebody will bid by mistake.

 

BID JACKING

The same as Bid Bumping or Price Jacking. Scamming techniques where, at the end of an auction, the owner of a player’s card with a second account, raises the price massively hoping that somebody will bid by mistake.

 

BIN

Buy It Now – option available on auctions in which the seller pre-set a immediate price without a need to bid.

BRASILVER

Popular name given to silver Brazilians players.

 

BRONZE

One of the three levels of cards. In the case of players’ cards, it corresponds to those with ratings up to 64.

 

C

Coins – Object of exchange that has value in the FIFA 14 Ultimate Team market. Ex.: 500c = 500 coins.

 

CAM

Centre Attacking Midfielder – player position.

 

CARDWEIGHT

Metric used to estimate how often a particular card is traded on the FIFA 14 Ultimate Team marketplace.

 

CB

Centre Back – player position.

 

CDM

Central Defensive Midfielder – player position

 

CF

Center Forward – player position.

 

CHM

Chemistry – factor that helps the game play by interacting with the familiarity of the players with the club’s formation, positioning, the relation with the other players and the manager.

 

CHEMISTRY STYLES

Centre Midfield – player position.

 

CON

Contracts – number of matches that a player can play or a manager can participate.

 

CONSUMABLE PILE

Place reserved for the consumables that you may store in your club.

 

CR7

Cristiano Ronaldo – one of the best players of the world and of the FUT 14.

 

DAILY GIFTS

Gifts assigned to FIFA 14 Ultimate Team players during specific and limited periods of time.

 

DEF

Defence – one of the six main players’ technical attributes.

 

DIV

Did Not Finish Percentage – coefficient that penalizes players who do not finish matches in which they participate.

Dribble – one of the six main players’ technical attributes.

Currency used to reward the most active FIFA 14 players. Associated to XP level.

 

FIF

Fourth In Form – name given to the cards that were IF by the fourth time.

 

FIFA POINTS

Currency used on FUT 14 Store to purchase packs.

 

FIFA U TEAM

Biggest website about FIFA Ultimate Team.

 

FIT

Fitness – index which evaluates the players’ physical state and that ranges between 0 and 100.

 

FUT

FIFA Ultimate Team – game mode of FIFA series.

FIFA 14 Ultimate Team Store where we can buy packs.

 

FUT WEB APP

Online extension where we can manage our FUT club. Also called Web App or FUT Web.


 

GENERATIONS

GG

Good Game – message sent to an opponent after what you consider to be a good game.

 

GK

Goalkeeper – player position.

GOTW

Goal of the Week – goal scored by a FIFA community member chosen by EA as the best of the week.

 

GOLD

One of the three levels of cards. In the case of players’ cards, it corresponds to those with ratings between 75 and 99.

 

HAN

Handling – one of the six main goalkeepers’ technical attributes.

 

HANDICAP

A theory about how weaker teams are given an unfair advantage against stronger teams.

 

HEA

Heading – one of the six main players’ technical attributes.

 

HH

Happy Hour – specific time periods in which packs may be cheaper and in which may be more likely to get valuable cards in packs.

 

HYBRID

Team with players from two or more leagues.

 

IF

In Form – name given to the not-regular cards with improved attributes.

 

IFn

IF Card of a player that gets this IF card by the n time (n is a number higher than 1). Example: IF2 is the same as SIF.

 

iMOTM

International Man of the Match – player who gets a very limited edition MOTM card (IF), based on his real performance by his national team.

 

IRL

In Real Life – term used to talk about players not on FUT, but in real life.

 

K

Thousands (of Coins). Example: 1.000K = 1 million coins.

 

KIC

Kicking – one of the six main goalkeepers’ technical attributes.

 

LB

Left Back – player position.

 

LEGENDS

Special cards with the greatest football players of all time. It is an exclusive content for XBox Consoles.

 

LM

Left Midfield – player position.

 

LW

Left Wing – player position.

 

LWB

Left Wing Back – player position.


 

MANAGER TASKS

Program of simple tasks to introduce FIFA Ultimate Team to new players.

 

MOTM

Man of the Match – player who receives a very limited edition orange card (IF), based on his real performance in very important matches.

 

NIF

Not In Form – expression used to refer to a regular card of a player that has IF versions.

 

ORIGIN

Electronic Arts Store.

 

OVR

Overall Rating – index which evaluates the players’ quality. It ranges between 0 and 100.

PAC

Pace – one of the six main players’ technical attributes.

 

PACK

Group of cards sold in FUT Store in exchange for coins or money.

 

PAS

Passing – one of the six main players’ technical attributes.

 

PC

Personal Computer – one of the platforms that can be played FUT 14.

 

POS

Position – one of the six main goalkeepers’ technical attributes.

 

PRICE FIXING

Technique of acquiring a high amount of the same card, fixing the market price of that card and getting a high profit.

 

PRICE JACKING

The same as Bid Bumping or Bid Jacking. Scamming technique where, at the end of an auction, the owner of a player’s card with a second account, raises the price massively hoping that somebody will bid by mistake.

Index which evaluates the players’ quality or squads quality. It ranges between 0 and 100.

 

RB

Right Back – player position.

 

REF

Reflexes – one of the six main goalkeepers’ technical attributes.

 

RES

Reserves – players who belong to the squad but that do not play or sit on the bench.

 

RM

Right Midfield – player position.

 

RW

Right Wing – player position.

 

RWB

Right Wing Back – player position.


 

SEASON TICKET

Subscription program that offers subscribers access to discounts, FUT 14 packs and early access.

 

SHO

Shooting – one of the six main players’ technical attributes.

 

SIF

Second In Form – name given to the cards that were IF by the second time.

 

SILVER

One of the three levels of cards. In the case of players’ cards, it corresponds to those with ratings between 65 and 74.

 

SKILLS

Technical ability. Usually used to talk about dribbling.

 

SPD

Speed – one of the six main goalkeepers’ technical attributes.

 

ST

Striker – player position.

 

STAR RATING

Index which evaluates the squads quality by a star rating system (between zero and five).

 

STAR SKILLS

Index that measures the ability that a player has to perform certain technical moves.

 

SUB

Substitutes – players who do not start playing but that can get in during the match.

 

SWEATING

Cheap Play – methods to score easy goals on FIFA.

 

TIF

Third In Form – name given to the cards that were IF by the third time.

 

TOTS

Team of the Season –  selection of the best players that, every season, receive upgraded blue cards (IF), based on their real performance on the previous season. Used to distinguish from TOTY’s for the calendar year.

 

TOTT

Team of the Tournament – selection of the best players that played an International Tournament (as CAN, Euro or World Cup).

 

TOTW

Team of the Week – selection of the best players that, every week, receive improved black cards (IF), based on their real performance on the previous week.

TOTY

Team of the Year – selection of the best players that, every year, receive upgraded blue cards (IF), based on their real performance on the previous year.

 

TRADE PILE

Place reserved for the items we want to trade in FUT market.

 

ULTIMATE EDITION

Special and limited edition of FIFA 14 produced especially for FUT 14 fans. With FIFA 14 Ultimate Edition you get some packs for free.

 

UNASSIGNED

Place reserved to recently purchased items that were not sent to the club or to the trade pile.

 

UP

Upgraded – regular cards update to reflect the real life players’ performances.

 

WATCH LIST

Place reserved for the items we want to watch during an auction.
