FIFA 21 Rules of Conduct and Penalties

FIFA Rules

The FIFA 21 rules make sure that you, and players like you, have fun and stay safe while playing. Know the rules of conduct, the official recommendations and what happens if you break the FIFA 21 rules.

Rules of Conduct

Which rules you agree when you sign up for your EA Account

When someone starts playing FIFA 21, it is requested to accept the user agreement terms. The problem is that 99% of the players never read the terms and have no idea what it’s about. You have now another chance to do it.

RULES OF CONDUCT
When you access or use an EA Service, you agree that you will not:

Violate any law, rule or regulation.
Interfere with or disrupt any EA Service or any server or network used to support or provide an EA Service, including any hacking or cracking into an EA Service.
Use any software or program that damages, interferes with or disrupts an EA Service or another’s computer or property, such as a denial of service attacks, spamming, hacking, or uploading computer viruses, worms, Trojan horses, cancelbots, spyware, corrupted files and time bombs.
Interfere with or disrupt another player’s use of an EA Service. This includes disrupting the normal flow of gameplay, chat or dialogue within an EA Service by, for example, using vulgar or harassing language, being abusive, excessive shouting (all caps), spamming, flooding or hitting the return key repeatedly.
Harass, threaten, bully, embarrass, spam or do anything else to another player that is unwanted, such as repeatedly sending unwanted messages or making personal attacks or statements about race, sexual orientation, religion, heritage, etc. Hate speech is not tolerated.
Contribute UGC or organize or participate in any activity, group or guild that is inappropriate, abusive, harassing, profane, threatening, hateful, offensive, vulgar, obscene, sexually explicit, defamatory, infringing, invades another’s privacy, or is otherwise reasonably objectionable.
Publish, post, upload or distribute UGC that is illegal or that you don’t have permission to freely distribute.
Publish, post, upload or distribute any content, such as a topic, name, screen name, avatar, persona, or other material or information, that EA (acting reasonably and objectively) determines is inappropriate, abusive, hateful, harassing, profane, defamatory, threatening, hateful, obscene, sexually explicit, infringing, privacy-invasive, vulgar, offensive, indecent or unlawful.
Post a message for any purpose other than personal communication. Prohibited messages include advertising, spam, chain letters, pyramid schemes and other types of solicitation or commercial activities.
Impersonate another person or falsely imply that you are an EA employee or representative.
Improperly use in-game support or complaint buttons or make false reports to EA staff.
Attempt to obtain, or phish for, a password, account information, or other private information from anyone else on EA Services.
Use any robot, spider or other automated device or process to access this website for any purpose or copy any material on this website.
Use or distribute unauthorized software programs or tools, such as “auto” software programs, “macro” software programs, “cheat utility” software program or applications, exploits, cheats, or any other game hacking, altering or cheating software or tool.
Modify any file or any other part of the EA Service that EA does not specifically authorize you to modify.
Use exploits, cheats, undocumented features, design errors or problems in an EA Service.
Use or distribute counterfeit software or EA Content, including EA Virtual Currency.
Attempt to use an EA Service on or through any service that is not controlled or authorized by EA.
Sell, buy, trade or otherwise transfer or offer to transfer your EA Account, any personal access to EA Services, or any EA Content associated with your EA Account, including EA Virtual Currency and other Entitlements, either within an EA Service or on a third party website, or in connection with any out-of-game transaction, unless expressly authorized by EA.
Use an EA Service in a country in which EA is prohibited from offering such services under applicable export control laws.
If an EA Service requires you to create a “user name” or a “persona” to represent you in-game and online, you should not use your real name and may not use a user name or persona that is used by someone else or that EA determines is vulgar or offensive or violates someone else’s rights.
Engage in any other activity that significantly disturbs the peaceful, fair and respectful gaming environment of an EA Service.
Promote, encourage or take part in any prohibited activity described above.
If you or someone using your EA Account violates these rules and fails to remedy this violation after a warning, EA may take action against you, including revoking access to certain or all EA Services, Content or Entitlements, or terminating your EA Account as described in Section 8. In case of severe violations, EA may take these actions without issuing a prior warning. Some examples of severe violations include, but are not limited to: promoting, encouraging or engaging in hacking, selling EA accounts or entitlements (including virtual currencies and items) without EA’s permission, extreme harassment, or threatening illegal activities. When practical, EA will notify you of the action it will take in response to violations of these rules or breach of this Agreement.
Specific EA Services may post additional rules that apply to your conduct on those services.
If you encounter another user who is violating any of these rules, please report this activity to EA using the “Help” or “Report Abuse” functions in the relevant EA Service, if available, or contact Customer Support at help.ea.com.
EA may, in its discretion, monitor or record online activity or Content on EA Services and may remove any Content from any EA Service at its discretion. Remember that your communications and your UGC in an EA Service are public and will be seen by others.

If this was too long to you, here what you really need to know about the rules of conduct:

– Be kind to one another. Don’t harass, embarrass, or threaten other players. This includes sending messages to them repeatedly. If they don’t respond, they may not want to talk.
– Chat rooms are a safe place to share your ideas. Using vulgar language, being abusive, hitting return too many times, and posting large images so other players can’t read makes it an unpleasant and unsafe place.
– Think about your screen name or persona. Make sure it doesn’t offend or hurt other players.
– Be aware of what you upload. Uploading files with damaging content like viruses, worms, spyware, time bombs, or corrupted data hurts other players and EA Services.
– Hacking, phishing, cheating, distributing counterfeit software or virtual currency or items amounts to theft and creates an unsafe environment for everyone. Just don’t do it.

Play by the FIFA 21 Rules

How to play by the FIFA 21 rules

It’s easy to play by EA’s rules if you know what they are.

Coin Buying
You can earn FUT Coins by playing FUT and trading within the Transfer Market, but you can’t purchase them. Buying coins from a third-party or promoting coin buying is against the rules. A few ways to earn FUT Coins are playing matches in Ultimate Team, completing Squad Building Challenges that have Coins as part of the reward and trading players on the Transfer Market. Buying Coins damages the experience for you and other players. It affects the player economy when the prices of items on the Transfer Market increase and become unaffordable. When you buy Coins, you encourage Coin sellers to cheat in matches to generate Coins illegitimately.

Coin farming, promotion, distribution, and selling
You can earn Coins by playing FUT and trading within the Transfer Market, but you can’t farm, promote, distribute, buy “mule” accounts, perform comfort trades, or sell them. When you sell, promote, distribute, or farm Coins, you break the rules. These things are against the gameplay rules because they have a negative impact on the game economy, and they damage gameplay for you and other players.

Transfer Market exploitation (abuse or botting)
Making transactions outside of in-game, Companion app, or Web app limits or playing in an unauthorized way that gives you an unfair advantage hurts the experience for you and other players. It can also negatively affect the affordability of Transfer Market items.

Making false claims
Making a false claim to EA help advisors or any other EA representative is against the gameplay rules, and it’s just not cool. Breaking the rules makes it hard to provide a fun, safe, and secure environment for you and all players.

Match cheating
Match cheating is obviously against the rules. Match cheating can include, but isn’t limited to, using external tools, performing in-game exploits, and abuse of glitches or bugs. Match cheating is not fair play and hurts the experience for the players you are playing against.

Sanctions

What Happens if You Break the FIFA 21 Rules?

If you break the rules, there is a chance EA may:
– Remove your account from FUT Champions leaderboards
– Remove your FUT Champions rewards
– Wipe your FUT Coins
– Delete your FUT Club
– Temporarily or permanently lock your account out of the Transfer Market
– Temporarily or permanently blacklist you from companion app/web
– Ban you from your current FIFA game
– Ban you from all FIFA games
– Ban you from all EA games
– Suspend your console from playing FIFA online modes for a period of time

  3. I am completely shocked, my young son has been permanently banned for what we think is his team name. I have now viewed the person who reported my son and his communication is extremely offensive. I have the screen shots. I’m fuming as I paid for game and from what I’ve seen my son has not acted inappropriately. I have appealed but ban upheld with no reasons provided whatsoever. EA acting in a complete discriminatory manner… how do I escalate my concerns as want to lodge formal complaint based on discrimination

My account has been banned from the transfer market for allegedly transferring coins.. I’m only 13 and it would be much appreciated if you could lift that ban, I am unaware of these actions.. my account is marcelobielsa88.. I am unaware if a friend or sibling had done that to me do I apologise.. thank you.

  16. Archie George

If I have been banned because of my team name, can I change it and get unbanned?

    1. Same! And I literally have my name and the team I support! Now I’m being accused of CHILD ABUSE MATERIAL as my name! Outrageous man. Banned because of my actual name! You won’t get a response either I been trying all week. Literally let me deposit and buy Fifa points then banned me and stole my money.
Not my fault my dad named me Mohammed but I get it’s not the best time to be called that.. EA obviously don’t like it.
