Squad Battles for FIFA 20 Ultimate Team
What is Squad Battles?
Squad Battles is a single-player game mode within FIFA 20 Ultimate Team. Here are three things you should know before start playing it:
1 WEEKLY SINGLE-PLAYER COMPETITION
Compete against Squads from around the world in Squad Battles. Play up to 46 single-player matches per week to climb the leaderboard and earn rewards.
2 PLAY AGAINST COMMUNITY CREATED SQUADS
Every time you press the ‘update’ button (up to ten refreshes), new opponents are available to match up against, each squad made by someone in the community. More difficult squads offer increased rewards.
3 CLIMB THE LEADERBOARDS FOR BETTER REWARDS
Climb the ranks of a dynamic leaderboard. Ranks are determined by the average score among all competitors.
To start playing Squad Battles, go into your Ultimate Team and select Squad Battles in the Single Player section. Here’s an image that shows you where to go.
Squad Battles Points for FIFA 20
How you can earn battles points
Your rank is determined by the total battles points you get in a single week. You earn them playing matches.
Your battles points, per match, is based off how well you played the game, the difficulty of the squad you played and if you won the match. We will show you now, how these points are calculated:
BATTLES POINTS = DIFFICULTY BONUS x ( TEAM RATING SCORE + MATCH RESULT + SKILL BONUS ) + GOAL BONUS
DIFFICULTY BONUS
The Difficulty Bonus is a coefficient that measures the difficulty of your matches.
Here are the coefficients according to the difficulty level and the result:
WIN | 0.5 | 0.6 | 0.7 | 1.0 | 1.6 | 2.1 | 2.6 |
LOSS | 0.2 | 0.25 | 0.4 | 0.5 | 0.6 | 0.7 | 0.7 |
TEAM RATING SCORE
The Team rating score depends on the team you are playing against. Basically, it is based on its chemistry and its team rating, according to the following formula:
(Team Rating x 3) + (Chemistry Rating / 2)
POINTS | x3 | x0.5 |
MATCH RESULT
There are only two match results possible on Squad Battles: you win, and you get 200 points, or you lose, and you get 50 points.
POINTS | 200 | 50 |
SKILL BONUS
Skill Rewards are the sum of bonuses performance and penalties performance. Player’s good performances are rewarded with squad battle points, while there will be point deductions for negative performances. In other words, are the sum of the bonuses by scored goals, shots on target, successful tackles, corners, clean sheets, pass accuracy, possession and man of the match and the sum of the penalties by against goals, fouls, cards and offsides according to the following table that shows the number of points awarded/deducted for each performance:
+ SCORED GOALS | +40 | 5 | +200 |
+ SHOTS ON TARGET | +5 | 10 | +50 |
+ SUCCESS TACKLE | +1 | 20 | +20 |
+ CORNERS | +5 | 10 | +50 |
+ CLEAN SHEETS | +75 | 1 | +75 |
+ PASS ACCURACY % | +1 | 80 | +80 |
+ POSSESSION % | +1 | 80 | +80 |
+ MOTM | +15 | 1 | +15 |
– GOALS CONCEDED | -20 | 4 | -80 |
– FOULS | -5 | 4 | -20 |
– CARDS | -10 | 8 | -80 |
– OFFSIDES | -1 | 15 | -15 |
GOAL BONUS
Each goal you score gives you a different ammout of battle points based on the difficulty level you choose.
POINTS/GOAL | 20 | 30 | 40 | 60 | 100 | 140 | 160 |
MAX GOALS | 5 | 5 | 5 | 5 | 5 | 5 | 5 |
MAX POINTS | 100 | 100 | 200 | 300 | 500 | 700 | 800 |
The amount of Battle Points earned for playing a Featured Squad Battle match is not the same as you would earn for a normal Squad Battle match. Instead, the number of Battle Points you earn is based on whether you win or lose the game, and what difficulty you played the match on. The specific Battle Point values are below:
WIN | 1500 | 1550 | 1600 | 1700 | 1800 | 1900 | 2000 |
LOSS | 1400 | 1400 | 1400 | 1400 | 1400 | 1400 | 1400 |
Hey, thanks for this information. I reckon with this knowledge i’ll easily get elite one each week (2 rare megas and 30k on x-box).
I think i’ll still play a mixture of legendary, world class, and professional depending on the opposition, but i’ll try and win 5-0 and get lotsa corners.
Thanks again.
Cheers
Do I need 2000 weekly points before playing SB to qualify for top 100? Plz help
No. The 2,000 points are requested to play Weekend League, not the Squad Battles.
If I played all 40 games on World Class difficulty and averaged 2-3goals game how many points would I get?
It depends on other factors, like your opponent squad rating.
i’m at elite 3 right and i played all my matches. i’m barely in elite 3 like 200 points in. in rivals after you don’t play for a while your skill points drop. but i can’t play anymore games in squad battles to earn more. so will my skill rating drop or am i going to stay in elite 3 until the rewards
You will drop
Hi, last week I had 50 800+ points. According to futbin for elite 1 rewards needed 50 400 points. Still I get elite 2 rewards. ????
Sorry, but we don’t understand your question. If you had more than the score needed, you get the elite 1 rewards. However, be aware that the score that you should look is the one when the competition ends. If possible, do it in-game, since futbin isn’t precise.
Can i get to top 100 by playing one gamr on legendary mode and the rest on World class.. Because legendary is so hard for me as a new player
Never tried but it won’t be easy.
Do I earn XP points in squad battles?
You don’t earn FUT XP points by playing Squad Battles.
Yes if there are objectives or milestones like play100 sb or score with specific players
Any way to know how many games have I played already? Sometimes I play a lot and I don’t have the faintest idea of how many games have I left before I reach the 44.
It says up in right corner where you choose which sb match you want to play
I just played two games while im at elite 2 and it gave me 0 points for each game, is this a glitch or is there a specific rule that allows you to only get a certain amount of points per day?
You only get points from your first 44 matches. After that, you are able to play but you won’t get points.
Almost sure you already played the matches fro your 11 weekly refreshes.
So we have 44 regular SB games and 2 featured SB games. It counts my first 44 matches. Everytime i refresh / update opponents there is a one really bad team (like 60rt / 28ch). Is there any refresh / update limit? I mean can i refresh after playing with worst 2 teams of the opponents :/
There are 11 refreshes. If you refresh before playing with all your opponents, you will be missing matches.
46 games per week? So it means that you play 44 regular SB games and 2 featured SB games? And the featured games, you can play them as much as you want?
Yes, correct. You can also play more than 44 regular SB games but it won’t count for your score. Every time you play a new featured game, you replace your old score for the new one.
I have been playing at squad battles since the beginning and I have not been giving the points. I ask you to settle the problem, please.
Any points or just sometimes?
