This year, the Barclays Premier League was much less exciting than on the previous season. The Red Devils didn’t give a chance to any of the other teams. It was a great goodbye of the Sr. Alex Fergusson. Their Manchester rivals were second and the three other top places were to the London teams: Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham. The Swansea won the English League Cup and Wigan won the FA Cup. After the European title of the last season, Chelsea won their first Europa League title beating Benfica on the final.

In Spain, the three top scorers of the league, Messi, Ronaldo and Falcão, helped their teams to get the three top positions by the same order. Barcelona reached the 100 points showing their supremacy. In the final of the Spanish Cup, Atlético was better than their Madrid rivals.

In Germany lives probably the best team of the Europe. After loosing everything in the previous season, Bayern was strong enough this year to get the three titles: Bundesliga, with 25 points in advance, German Cup and the European Champions League. Who did not like the Bayern success were the Dortmund fans. They were second in the domestic league and second in the most important league of the Europe.

In the Calcio, there were no surprises. Juventus was always on the first place and got the title. Cavani, the top scorer of Serie A, helped Napoli to get the second place thanks an amazing season. The biggest disappointment of the season was Internazionale Milano with their ninth place. The Italian Cup went to Rome, where Lazio were better than their rivals Roma.

So many years later, PSG was champion again. It seems that the money spent on the top scorer Ibrahimovic and the Brazilian center back Thiago Silva worked. The two other most popular teams of France, Marseille and Lyon, got the second and third place. Bordeaux, the seventh on the league ahead of the 2011-2012 champion Montepellier, won the French Cup.

In Portugal, FC Porto won a very controversial title relegating Benfica to the second place on the penultimate round. The club of Lisbon also lost the Europa League title on the final and the Portuguese Cup to Vitória de Guimarães. The other team of Minho, Braga, won the League Cup. Sporting, another Portuguese historic club, has a terrible season finishing the league in the seventh position.

But the Football European Leagues not end here. The Anderlecht was again the best football team of Belgium, renewing the league title. The same happened to Ajax in the Netherlands, joining more points than PSV (second) and Feyenoord (third) and with Basel in Switzerland. No big surprises too with the wins of FK Austria Wien, Olympiacos FC, FC Steaua Bucureşti and Galatasaray AŞ in their domestic leagues. Probably we can not say the same about the Russian League, in which CSKA Moskva was the champion geting more points than other popular teams as Zenit St Petersburg,Anji Makhachkala and Rubin Kazan.

    1. Hi.
This is not the full list of European leagues champions. Just the main ones. According to UEFA Rankings, Cypriot League is not one of the biggest Leagues in Europe. That’s why we not included it.
