Who Could Win It?

This month there are only two real contenders for POTM, and I have a feeling it’ll be extremely close like last month.

Josh King is the first player who is in contention. This month he scored 4 goals and grabbed 1 assist too. Along with this, he contributed to all 3 games that Bournemouth played this month, including a goal in a 1-1 draw with Manchester United, and a hat trick in a 3-2 win against West Ham. The fact that King scored important goals in his games could help him to win the FIFA 17 March Premier League POTM, but we will have to wait and see.

The other contender for POTM is Lukaku. Once again, Romelu has been on fire this month, getting himself 4 goals along with 2 assists. However Everton have only won 2 games this month, due to their loss against Spurs, which could give King an advantage in this sense. Also the goals that Lukaku scored were not as important as King’s, as Lukaku’s goals didn’t lead to a win which they otherwise would have lost.

This month it will be extremely tight like last month between Kane and Lukaku, but this month I am edging towards Lukaku.

How To Prepare

Here I will talk about potential investments for FIFA 17 March Premier League POTM, and the most important part – when to sell them.

Let’s start with Lukaku. We all know that EA love to throw curveballs at us, so although we need to look at the obvious investments, we need to look at the ones that seem less likely too.

A few of the POTM requirements have included the previous clubs of the winner. For Lukaku these include Anderlecht, West Brom and Chelsea, and picking up a few of the cheaper but higher rated cards is a good idea, as there is very little risk in these. Something slightly less possible is the chance of us needing special cards for this. Anderlecht do in fact have a MOTM card which is sitting at discard price (Najar, 10.5k.) This is essentially a risk-free investment as he can’t drop anymore, and he will rise in the hype of POTM. Also MOTM cards could be needed soon for SBC’s anyway, especially with the upcoming event of FUT birthday. Another investment who will almost definitely rise is MOTM Dendoncker. He plays for Anderlecht too, and he is also Belgian which will also cover Lukaku’s nationality and is currently the cheapest Belgian special card on the market (15.5k.) I do however think that Belgian IF’s are currently too expensive to invest in, with the cheapest being 26k. This is a prime example of the hype building up already, and we are still well over 2 weeks away from the release of March’s POTM.

Now for Josh King. King has quite a few previous clubs, which include Manchester United, Preston, Borussia Mongengladbach, Hull and Blackburn. As said previously, picking up any cheap players from these clubs is a good idea and risk free. An investment which I think is incredible is Boruc IF. Not only is he from Josh King’s club, but he is also the cheapest IF in the EPL by about 3k, which means there is very little risk in this and it could be a great investment.

Remember to always look for potential curveballs that EA could throw, and look at some risk free investments for these. A good way to do this is to look for past requirements of POTM cards, such as teams that the player has scored against, past clubs, nationality and the teams they play for etc.

When to sell the investments

A large part of trading and investing is not only knowing who to buy, but knowing when to sell. Most of us traders will ‘sell in the hype,’ which is when we sell our investments a few days before POTM is released, which therefore makes all investments risk free and gives us guaranteed coins. Although you could wait until POTM is released, this is very risky and could result in you losing a lot of coins if your investments are not included in the requirements, hence why we sell in the hype.

Making Coins On The Day Of Release

POTM is usually announced and released on the 2nd Friday of the month between 10.30am and 12am (UK time.) This is a great opportunity to make coins. Make sure you are available on this day if possible, and as soon as the POTM SBC is released on FIFA, quickly go and buy what will be needed in the requirements. A prime example of this is when Kane was released, you needed a Spurs IF from the forwards or midfielders, and there were hundreds of thousands of coins to be made if you bought them right at the release.
