FIFA 11 Ultimate Team – The End

EA will close the FIFA 11 servers on January 11th, 2013.
Thus, besides the other game modes, you can no longer play FUT 11 in any of the four platforms: PC, PS3, Wii and Xbox 360.

If you are still playing FIFA 11 Ultimate Team, this is a bad news for sure. Fortunately there is an alternative.

The EA Report

The decisions to retire older EA games are never easy. The development teams and operational staff pour their hearts into these games almost as much as the customers playing them and it is hard to see one retired. But as games get replaced with newer titles, the number of players still enjoying the older games dwindles to a level — fewer than 1% of all peak online players across all EA titles — where it’s no longer feasible to continue the behind-the-scenes work involved with keeping these games up and running. We would rather our hard-working engineering and IT staff focus on keeping a positive experience for the other 99% of customers playing our more popular games. We hope you have gotten many hours of enjoyment out of the games and we appreciate your ongoing patronage.

  1. So if I spent a bunch of money in USD on the game that all goes into EA’s pockets and I get nothing

    1. No, you can’t.
      From our FUT FAQ:
“P: Will I be able to keep my team in the next FIFA Ultimate Team version or I’ll have to start all over again?
R: Each version of FIFA Ultimate Team is a different game. As such, you can not import your team and your coins from the previous FUT version . The only things that can move are the name of the team and the level of EXP. For example, even if you have a super team in FUT12, you will have to start from scratch in FUT13.”
